Patrick Brown is a software engineer at Lucid here in New Orleans and loves collaborating with great people to build innovative products. After attending LSU on a LA-STEM scholarship, he also attended Operation Spark to get more experience with web development. After school, Patrick began work at GE Digital, where he worked to aggregate gas turbine data across the globe. He also helped to develop a user interface to help clients do cost benefit analysis on their existing turbine systems. After GE, Patrick went on to Lucid, where he works on the User Interface Team to build well organized and efficient workflows for clients in the market research space. Outside of work, Patrick stays busy in the community by providing mentorship and volunteering with a number of local organizations including Youthforce Nola, YLC, Operation Spark, and the Tulane National Society of Black Engineers. He also teaches STEM concepts to kids at Dilliard University via the Verizon Innovative Learning Program and develops low cost and often free websites for local black businesses without a web presence. Patrick hopes to continue doing the necessary work in the community to enrich and impact young black lives while continuing to focus on his own career advancement.
